International
Floorball Federation (IFF) have received full
membership in GAISF on 20th May, 2004. Right now
IFF is applying for membership of IWGA
(International World Games Association).
FFI
made an agreement in Aug 2004 with United India
to insure all players who are enjoying the game
with a player's licence. With this licence only
the player is able to participate in all official
national and local tournaments or league games.
Thanks to United India Insurance: Players
are insured against all injuries in unofficial
and official games/practice sessions of floorball.
This unique insurance policy is done
specially for floorball in India.
Floorball
Federation of India is in full speed ahead as
well and after receiving an invitation to the
Asia-Pacific Floorball Championships 2004
, FFI have decided to send the first
ever men's national team to represent proudly
the great India! FFI is pending the decision of
sending women's team as well. APFC 2004
is going to be held on 8th-12th December. {This
got cancelled because the negotiated sponsorships
did not take place. FFI is pushing more efforts
to send a team to Pakistan tournament}
In
Singapore IFF is having an important meeting for
planning the road map of Asian Floorball
. This tournament will give a big step
ahead for Floorball in Asia.
Another
big tournament is going to be held soon: the PM
Pakistan International Floorball Cup 2005 .
Among the other member countries also the Indian
representative team will be challenging all participants
in February 2005. FFI is sending both men and
women's teams.
Chandigarh
Floorball Association (CFA) has started
establishing floorball in the city very well!
After the 7 days training camp there are over
35 new members/licenced players in CFA. FFI is
looking forward to see CFA team challenging the
other associations in The National Tournament
of Floorball in November, in Lucknow.
Vice
Chairman of The Technical Committee is going to
write an instruction book for
all of you who are interested in floorball, as
referee, coach or player. All you need to know
in the initial stage of your start of floorball,
will be covered by the book. It will be ready
in few weeks (this is written 22.9.04) and is
free for copying to all who are interested in.

FFI
has launched its development program for
Indian Floorball : Who is interested
in teaching floorball in India as an invited honourable
guest of FFI, can send his application email to
info@floorballindia.org
. FFI
will support with travelling expenses and organize
accommondation on the spot of a camp.
Delhi Floorball Association (DFA)
is going to be formed soon. Mr K.D. Parasher has
shown keen interest towards the game and he organized
the first ever camp in Delhi together with Summer
Field School (Greater Kailash I). He is negotiating
also with two other institutions for running a
training camp. FFI is delighted of his dynamic
abilities and will accept his application to form
Delhi Floorball Association soon (contact details
already available in "State Associations").
Uttar
Pradesh Floorball Association (UPFA) have organised
successfully two tournaments for local schools.
The winner of the first ever Avadh
Floorball Tournament was Infosoft Club
who beat City Montessori Scool team by 7-3. Congratulations!

in 2nd to 4th Oct 2004: Naval Kishore

. FFI is looking forward to see more
tournaments and a full year league organised by
UPFA. Congratulations for the successful first
two tournaments.
UPFA
has formed successfully their Technical
Committee and the Vice Chairman of Tech
Comm of UPFA is Mr Vishal Sonkar. He has also
classified as B-category referee of UPFA. Other

FFI
is organising the 2nd National Floorball
Championships 2005 together with Maharasthra
Floorball Association. This will include a coaching
camp as well - 2nd National Coaching Camp
2005 . The camp will be held 8.
- 12.2.2005 and the 2nd National Floorball
Championships 2005 will be right after the camp,
13. - 15.2.2005 .
FFI is unfortunate to announce postponement
of the 2nd National Floorball Championships
. This February tournament is postponed due to
sudden examination in Dr. Babasaheb Nandurkar
College of Physical Education and next date will
be announced very soon.
